Hi, it’s Jane here!

I’m a Chartered and Certified Accountant by training, but life has led me on a winding and grace-filled journey — from numbers, to creativity, to community. Over the years I’ve run businesses as a jeweler, wedding & event planner, and now a community builder. Leaving the corporate world was not an easy decision. As a former CFO, I was trained to play it safe, to think about the bottom line, and to weigh every risk. Yet something in me longed for more — for freedom, for creativity, for the chance to spend more time with my family, and to share what I had with others. People around me couldn’t understand why I would trade security for the unknown, but I felt called to create something meaningful.

Today, I pour my heart into several callings that connect faith, beauty, and people:

  • Recipe of Life (www.recipeoflife.org) — a community I co-founded with my sister to celebrate Asian heritage, family memories, and the joy of food. Through recipes and storytelling, we connect people across cultures, sharing both laughter and heartfelt moments around the table.
  • Ave Maria Garden — a charity I first started in Hong Kong (www.avemariagarden.org) and now also a registered nonprofit in British Columbia (www.avemariagarden.ca). Through floral art, leadership training, and community programs, we support disadvantaged and underprivileged members of society, helping them find harmony, self-expression, and joy.
  • Catholic Wedding Planning (www.catholicweddingplanning.com) — a faith-centered resource I created to help couples plan their weddings with joy, prayer, and practical guidance, rooted in Catholic tradition.
  • A Blessing (www.ablessinggift.com)  — my online platform dedicated to helping people bring their floral visions to life. Whether you want to turn floral design into a side gig, use flowers to enrich your work projects, or simply learn creative tips to bring beauty and meaning into everyday life, A Blessing shares inspiration and guidance with people around the world.

Creating Value and Sharing Joy

For me, community has never been about people being together. It is about creating value, building connections, and giving back. I love seeing how a spark of creativity — whether in a flower, a dish, an idea, or a simple act — can inspire others. I’ve learned that true success is not measured in profits but in people, in relationships, and in the joy of lifting one another up.

Walking Together

Life’s journey isn’t easy. There are struggles, setbacks, and moments of doubt. But I believe we are not meant to walk alone. I share my story openly so others know they are not alone either. If my experiences — both the mistakes and the breakthroughs — can encourage even one person, then it’s worth it.

I often remind myself that my path has not been shaped by effort alone. God has been guiding me every step of the way. As a Catholic mom, my daily prayer is simple: “Lord, melt me, mold me, use me.” If He can use my journey to bring hope, I am grateful.

So let’s encourage one another, share our stories, and build each other up. Together, we can create something beautiful — in community, in family, and in life.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
